Warren Spector, who is the man behind the original Deus Ex and creator of Disney-published Epic Mickey, will be awarded the Lifetime Achievement Awards 12th Annual Game Developers Choice, in exchange for the contribution he made to the industry.
Warren Spector has worked in this business for almost 30 years and at Ion Storm and the second in his Junction Point well renowned for innovative ideas and for the way he insisted that the execution should be in accordance with the concept.
Meggan Scavio, who is general manager at UBM TechWeb GDC event, stated, "Warren, a rarified think 'big picture' and ideals have been doing a lot to the gaming industry, exemplifies the quality is right that a Lifetime Achievement Award recipients must have.
"In presenting him with this honor, we continue the tradition of highlighting individuals whose work stands as a benchmark for the next generation of developers."
