Samsung Galaxy S Lightray 4G Coming Soon to MetroPCS

It looks like MetroPCS is prepping to launch LTE 4G-enabled device is a new, Lightray 4G smartphone Samsung Galaxy S.

The people over at Pocketnow has just published an official press shots of the smartphone, so if nothing is wrong, we can expect this device MetroPCS announced soon.

For the time being, no details about pricing options call or availability date, but you probably will appear in the following weeks.


At first glance, Lightray 4G Galaxy S follows the same pattern in 4G name Blaze recently launched Samsung Galaxy. However, the latter has better specs, but the former probably going to be cheaper.

For those unfamiliar with the lineup Sprint 4G, 4G Lightray Galaxy S is nothing but the Samsung 4G Conquer. This means that the smartphone will ship with Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system, but may get the Ice Cream Sandwich update later this year.

Samsung has not confirmed to Conquer 4G Android 4.0 upgrade, but it will be interesting to see if MetroPCS disclose additional information in its official announcement.

Clearly, a selling point Lightray S 4G Galaxy S is the support for LTE. In addition to the smartphone does not offer anything spectacular in terms of specifications.

Lightray Samsung 4G Galaxy S is equipped with single-core processor 1 GHz and 1 GB ROM package, 512 MB RAM and microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 32GB). Sprint variant also comes with a 2GB memory card in sales package, but MetroPCS has not confirmed it as well.

Smartphone also sports a 3.5-inch touchscreen with a capacitive decent 320 x 480 pixel resolution, and dual cameras (3-megapixel photo snapper rear and 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera).
