Skyrim High Resolution Texture Pack Now Available as Free DLC

 Bethesda has just deployed a massive Creation Kit for the successful Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim role playing games, as well as high-resolution texture pack officially available as free downloadable content through Steam on the PC.

Skyrim impressed millions of people with great gameplay and story, but many PC owners are more passionate about his support for user generated mods.

Now, after a long wait, the studio finally launches Creation Kit, a set of tools that should make the process easier modding.

In addition to the mod tools, Bethesda also released a batch of free downloadable content for Skyrim on the PC, in the form of a package of high-resolution texture officials.

Before you start downloading it, however, the studio warned that players must meet the recommended system specifications for Skyrim. This includes Windows Vista or 7 operating system, 4GB of RAM, video card compatible with DirectX 9.0c which has 1GB of RAM, and the latest graphics driver.

What's more, make sure you have plenty of free hard drive space, as the DLC weighs in at 3.1GB.

In celebration of the launch of the Creation Kit and High Resolution Texture Pack, Bethesda also offers discounts for Skyrim on Steam, cutting prices by 33% to Thusday.
